July 2016 - When I started painting I loved skies especially sunrise and sunset, colourful, vibrant skyscapes this is what I am currently painting inspired by a few recent trips up to Somerset and the magnificent views from Deer Leap, Priddy as well as Clevedon and Weston seafronts. If it was good enough for Turner then its good enough for me, Turner apparently believed the sunsets on this particular stretch of Somerset coastline were among the best in the world certainly the best in the England.  Here's a small selection of sketch book work prior to the big canvas.
